Patches can plug some pretty nasty holes in your organization's IT. These incremental application updates address security vulnerabilities that have been discovered in the previous version, closing a window that might otherwise be wide open to hackers and malware. But keeping up with patches is best done by an experienced team who won't let any critical updates slip past them. In other words, it's best done by our IT business support team at Gravity Systems.

Patching an application isn't brain surgery; both Windows and Mac operating systems include features that allow you to select automatic software updates. But these updates may only apply to the operating systems themselves, or to their flagship software suites. If you're running third-party or proprietary applications, you'll have to make sure you're receiving the necessary patches from those applications' developers or manufacturers. If a given application (or the version of it your hardware is capable of running) is no longer officially supported, you may have to dump that application entirely or get new hardware that can support its latest version. While you're at it, you won't want to forget the patches to that all-important anti-malware program keeping your computer safe from the bad guys. In short: keeping your software patched can be a real pain.

Fortunately, Gravity Systems can patch up that pain for your organization. Our network management program includes ongoing software monitoring and updating from our vigilant Austin IT managed services team. As soon as a recommended patch is released, we make sure your system has it – and we can do that for all your applications, from the well-known to the relatively obscure. While we're handling all these small but critical details in the background, your crew is making the best use of their own time instead of chasing this or that patch.
